How the Wife of the DSS President Threatened to Prevent Me from Becoming the Governor of Kano - Abba Gida-Gida

Abba Kabir Yusuf, the new governor of Kano state, has talked about what happened between him and Yusuf Magaji Bichi's wife soon before the 2023 election.

Governor Yusuf said that Bichi's wife had said she would stop him from being elected governor of Kano state in 2023.

This is what the governor said on Tuesday when he met with Islamic teachers at the government house in Kano to ask for their help.

If you remember, there was a big fuss on social media about a fight between Yusuf's fans and the DSS leader's wife when she was at the Malam Aminu Kano airport. This was before the election.

The governor was upset that some Islamic teachers had gone to radio stations and said bad things about him without knowing what really happened between him and Mrs. Bichi.

When I told her that the DSS officers had insulted our people, she insulted me and said, "I swear we will never let you be the governor of Kano state."

The governor also said that the DSS president's wife later stopped him from taking a commercial flight even though he had already paid for it. He also said that some Kano scholars criticized him even though he was hurt and no one listened to him. Not his part.

So, Yusuf told the teachers at the meeting that he would respect all the religious teachers in the state, but he warned them that he would not trust the ones who were against his government.
