Chad said that it arrested some of France's military troops on its border with Sudan because they had entered the area without permission. The French Ministry of Defence says that this is just a misunderstanding between the two countries.

Some videos that have been shared on social media show Chadian troops attacking French soldiers while other Chadian soldiers follow them with guns and another soldier answers the phone on the other side. They are getting orders to beat the army, as shown by the circumstances.

People have said things about the tape. On the one hand, some say the French soldiers are mine thieves, while others say they are spies.

Since the film came out on the 8th of this month, people in Chad have been calling for the French army to be arrested and charged.

But France's Ministry of Defence said that there were different ways of understanding the video and that the French and Chadian militaries are working together to provide security in the Abeche region of eastern Chad, which is 48 kilometres from where the Chadian soldiers detained them when they went out to see how the rain was getting stronger and walked through the streets.

According to the French Ministry of Defence, the soldiers at the checkpoint didn't know that the French military was working together in Abeche. They had already let the troops go and let them keep working after coming to an agreement.
