China Rejects False Statements on HKSAR's National Security Law at UNHRC Meeting
China said yesterday that other countries were lying about the national security law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
At the 53rd session of the UN Human Rights Committee, China's representative said that China strongly opposes any foreign country or enemy that tries to get involved in domestic issues and the legal system. Arta by not telling people about their rights.
The Chinese official said that since the national security law went into effect, the Hong Kong area has gone from being chaos to a place where people follow the law and are happy. He said that the rule of law has been brought up again and that the rights of the Hong Kong people have been kept in the right way.
He also said that the law makes sure that the law is followed and that the courts, especially in Hong Kong, are free to do their work. (Ibrahim Yaya)
