Dozens are killed in an Indian plane tragedy.
A train disaster that happened in the eastern Indian state of Odisha resulted in 200 injuries and the deaths of 200 individuals.
The Coromandel Express passenger train and a cargo train crashed in Balasore, roughly 200 kilometers from the state capital Bhubaneswar, according to eyewitnesses and authorities quoted in local media.
According to Odisha Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena, the tragedy apparently involved a second passenger plane, however, it is yet unclear exactly how it occurred.
However, some officials who wish to remain anonymous claimed that many more passengers are believed to be trapped under the cargo plane and that it is estimated that about 50 people have perished.
According to the Balasore office of the assistant inspector general of police, at least 200 persons were hurt, the majority of them badly.
