Elected member of the State Assembly representing Chikun from Kaduna State has passed away
Hon. Madam Garba Madam, who was chosen to represent the Chikun Constituency in the Kaduna State Assembly, has died.
He died in a hospital in Kaduna on Saturday morning from an unknown disease.
Even though the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) gave the elected member of parliament a certificate of reinstatement to his seat after the general election, he died before he could attend the opening of the State House of Assembly on June 13, 2023, because of the illness that killed him.
The late Madami was once the head of the Chikun local government and a state commissioner. On March 18, 2023, as a member of the PDP party, he ran against the member of parliament who represented the Chikun district and beat him.
