Ethiopia's plane was hired to launch Nigeria's plane - Captain Dapo Olumide
The Acting Managing Director of the new Nigerian Airlines, Captain Dapo Olumide, said that the plane that went missing with the Nigeria Airline logo was hired by Ethiopian Airlines to launch the brand.
After the Boeing 737-800 landed on the 26th of May last, the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, expressed his happiness that the airline has started operating after a long and difficult period.
However, when he appeared before the Senate committee on air transport on Tuesday, Olumide said that Nigeria Air has not yet received a license to operate a full air transport operation and it is still at the initial stage.
He explained that since 2018, Nigerians have seen the logo that was revealed but not the real plane, and it is thought that it is time to show how the real plane will be, that is why the plane was hired.
