A Presidential Crisis Has Emerged In The Nasarawa State Legislature
There has been an appearance of two representatives who are claiming to get the leadership seat of the 7th Legislative Assembly in Nasarawa state.
Ibrahim Balarabe and Daniel Ogazi, both from the western part of the state, are the two representatives claiming leadership and both are APC members.
On Tuesday, June 6, it was planned to inaugurate the 7th parliament and to elect the speaker of the parliament and his deputy, but the clerk of the parliament announced the postponement of the election due to security reasons.
In the end, 11 members elected Ibrahim Balarabe and Jacob Kudu as the speaker of the parliament and his deputy in one of the state ministries where the acting clerk of the parliament Ibrahim Musa swore in them.
But Ogazi and Adamu Oyanki were chosen as the speaker and his deputy and 13 representatives in the lobby.
After that, Governor Abdullahi Sule hosted Alarabe, Kudu and other members of his clan at the government palace of Nasarawa state in Lafiya.
