In response to an epidemic of anthrax that poses a risk to human health, the government of Ghana has taken precautions that will, starting today and continuing for the next 30 days, make it illegal to move animals or kill them.


Already, several of the nations that make up West Africa have begun to adopt preventative measures in order to halt the spread of the illness within their borders.


This comes after the government of Nigeria issued a warning to anyone who works with ganda meat to protect themselves from catching this sickness, which is rapidly becoming more widespread.
