NAFDAC warns people against drinking lemon bottles of 'Sprite'
Following the discovery of tainted lemons in the market, the Nigerian Food and Drug Administration issued a warning to its citizens not to consume lemon-flavored 'Sprite' bottles.
The NAFDAC claimed that it only learned about the lemons after receiving complaints from some lemon consumers and conducting an inquiry.
In a 50cl container of this sort of lemon, five cartons were discovered by NAFDAC, where it was observed that something was afloat in the lemon.
The laboratory of the organisation has already received this infected lemon for analysis.
The organisation added that it had sent out a circular order to reclaim such defective goods.
Additionally, the organisation in charge of this lemon has been asked to return all of the bottles of this type that it sold before providing the board with the information.
Additionally, NAFDAC urged anyone who has consumed such lemons or knows someone who has and is concerned about their health to get medical attention.
