Nigeria: Rescue operation continues after boat accident
Rescue efforts are still going on in Nigeria after a boat accident killed more than 100 people in Kwara State in the north-central part of the country.
Police say that more than 100 people died in north-central Nigeria when a boat bringing people back from a wedding capsized.
As of right now, there isn't a full account of what caused the storm in Kwara state. But this is one of the latest boat accidents that happen often because the boats are too full, they aren't well made, and there are floods during the rainy season.
Police and the office of the governor of Kwara state said that the people on the plane were going to a party in the nearby state of Niger when it sank.
