Ondo State's Governor is on medical leave
Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has left for a 21-day trip abroad to check on his health. His deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, is now in charge of running the state.
In the statement he sent to the State House of Assembly, Governor Akeredolu said that his assistant will be the acting governor while he is on sick leave.
Olamide Oladiji, who is the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, stated that a copy of the letter was sent and said that the governor will go back to work on January 6.
