North West Governors Meet With Tinubu On Security Issues

President Bola Tinubu met with Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State and other governors of North West states to talk about the security issues.

On Thursday, after the meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC), the president and the seven governors met at the royal palace.

In a statement released on Friday, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the spokesman for the governor of Zamfara State, said that the governors met with President Tinubu to talk about the security issues in the area.

Earlier, the governors went to the NEC's opening ceremony, which was led by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

"President Tinubu met privately with Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State and other governors from the North West.

"The governors are trying to get the President to help stop bandits and kidnappings in the North West area. This meeting is one way they are trying to do that.

"The leaders have told the president that they are very worried about the lack of security in their states.

"Before meeting with the President, seven governors from the North West went to a meeting of the NEC, which was attended by 36 state governors," Idris said.
