The Buhari administration has wasted 19 billion dollars on repairing oil refineries
Governor Abdullahi Sule of the state of Nasarawa said that former President Muhammadu Buhari spent more than 19 billion dollars on Nigeria's oil plants, which is the same amount that was used to build the Dangote oil refinery.
In 8 years, Buhari's government gave contracts to fix oil plants in Kaduna, Fatakwal, and Warri, but none of them work yet. Meanwhile, Dangote built the biggest oil refinery in Africa in less than 5 years.
Yesterday, Governor Sule said on National Television that the Dangote plant would be three times as big as the three oil refineries we already have if it costs 19 billion dollars to build.
The APC governor was upset that the Buhari government didn't build a new oil refinery. However, more than $19 billion was spent on fixing three oil refineries over the course of eight years, and nothing new was built.
