The Inspector General of Police has ordered the closure of all 17 Secretariats of Plateau State

Usman Alkali Baba, the Inspector General of Police, has told Bartholomew Onyeka, the Commissioner of Police for Plateau State, to close all 17 local government offices in the state.

If you don't remember, Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State recently agreed to suspend the heads of 17 local governments whose terms haven't ended yet. This did not make the rival party APC in the state happy.

Most of the leaders of the suspended local governments were elected with the help of the APC party, Sabida, so they disobeyed the governor's orders and refused to leave their posts and join the PDP-backed transitional committees. This fight is bad for the defense of the country.

In a statement released in Jos by the public relations officer (PPRO), DSP Alfred Alabo, the state police force said that they had to take this step because of confusion and disagreements between the leaders of the local governments.

The announcement also said, "There are also threats that supporters of the leaders of the local governments who have been suspended may raise public tensions, which could lead to the loss of lives and property in the state."
