The police have closed the offices of all local governments in Plateau State
Usman Alkali Baba, the Inspector General of Police, has told CP Bartholomew N. Onyeka, the Plateau Police Commissioner, to close all 17 local government offices in the state.
The statement, which was signed by DSP Alfred Alabo, the spokesman for the Plateau Police Force, said that the action was needed because of the talk about how the search for the leadership of the local governments could lead to a fight, which could endanger lives, property, and other infrastructure.
The police have said that they won't let bad people riot, so all of the Plateau 17 local government buildings have been closed.
Lastly, the CP Commissioner praised the people of Plateau State for continuing to work with the security forces. He also asked the people to keep going about their business without violence.
