The world Catholic leader is ill
According to reports from the Vatican, the head of the world Catholic Church, Pope Francis, is suffering from an illness, which led to him being admitted to a hospital in Rome for surgery.
This is the second time in a year that the Pope will undergo surgery, apart from the intestinal problem he faced in July 2022.
The doctors who are examining the health of the 86-year-old Pope Francis have decided to perform another operation on his stomach due to the severity of the pain he is suffering from. However, the Pope's palace did not say whether he will cancel the trips he will make in the future as he did last year.
Pope Francis previously revealed that in 2021 he had seen a psychiatrist in his native Argentina when he was a young man, to help him deal with depression that stemmed from the military dictatorship.
