Workers In Nigeria Are Asking For Two Hundred Thousand Naira As The Minimum Salary For Workers
The TUC has called on President Bola Tinubu to increase the minimum wage for workers in the country to 200 thousand Naira to curb the effects of removing the fuel subsidy.
He said that this should be done before the end of June in order to implement the oil industry law, where he added that consideration should be given to adjusting what citizens get in their daily lives.
The president of the union and the general secretary of the TUC, Festus Osifo and Nuhu Toro, in a statement they signed, said that these are among their demands in continuing the dialogue with the government.
Osifo said that they also wanted to continue to return to the old price of petrol while the negotiations continue.
