Building Killed 2 Children Lagos

In the Ikorodu neighborhood of Lagos State, a building on Ajao Street collapsed, killing two children.

According to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the event took place early on Saturday.

"The nine and seven-year-old children were trapped when the neighboring building collapsed on them during the heavy rain," said Ibrahim Farinloye, the NEMA coordinator for the South-West region, in a statement.

The organization claimed that nothing was done to save the children's lives.

In addition to offering comfort to the parents of the children, NEMA prayed for God to give them the fortitude to deal with their loss.

The Lagos State Building and Construction Authority (LASBCA), according to the agency, visited the area to ascertain the incident's cause.
