EFCC sued Stella Oduah in court over the five billion naira scam
Stella Oduah, the former minister of aviation, and eight other people have been charged with money laundering by the Federal Anti-Corruption Commission (EFCC) before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
25 allegations were brought against the defendants, including money laundering, collaboration, and usage of an anonymous First Bank bank account where five billion naira were discovered.
However, after hearing the claims made against Oduah and the other eight people, including one of her former servants, they refuted all of the charges.
Justice Inyang Ekwo, the court's judge, ruled that the Attorney General's office should assume control of the EFCC.
Between 2011 to 2014, Stella Oduah served as the country's minister of aviation under President Goodluck Jonathan.
