Ganduje accused the Kano government of hiring a group to tarnish the name of the old government

The former administration in Kano state made false and dishonest claims that it had secured a loan for the purpose of installing CCTV surveillance cameras in the state capital totaling 10 billion naira.

The former information commissioner, Muhammad Garba, claimed in a statement that a joint committee was engaged to examine the political affairs of the government in order to destroy the previous administration through admissions of financial wrongdoing.

According to Garba, the previous administration had actually agreed to move on with the project to increase security in the state, but on July 1, 2022, a federal high court in Kano issued an order prohibiting the government from receiving loans.
