Ghana will receive refugees from Burkina Faso
Ghana says it will carry out this humanitarian endeavour with assistance from the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and that it will refrain from resettling Burkinabes at the border due to security concerns.
Due to terrorist assaults in their nation, Burkinabe refugees have spent months travelling to Ghana in search of safety.
In order to continue the resettlement of the refugees in the camp that was established last month and is currently housing 4,000 people, representatives of the United Nations and the Ghanaian government have assembled in the country's eastern region.
The government of Ghana and representatives of the UN are attempting to persuade the refugees who have shown resistance that they would not return to Ghana because they are happier living on the country's border.
