Ghana's Legislature Plans to Implement the Law on Arresting Homosexuals

While the group of gays and homosexuals in other nations of the world are organising protests to request their approval, the government of Ghana plans to put the law against homosexuality into effect.

Accra, Ghana The majority of Ghanaians have urged the government to speed up the law's application since they believe there is a delay in the arrest of gays and heterosexuals.

The second phase of the law's implementation, according to Asawase constituency representative and former chairman of the disciplinary committee in the Parliament, Horn. Muntaka Mubarak, has been completed.

While giving the members of the House of Assembly the chance to voice their opinions, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Ghana, urged every member who opposed the bill to stand up and give his justifications.

The rule that Ghana is going to enact stipulates that anyone who is arrested for homosexuality would face a ten-year prison sentence, and anyone who admits to being gay will face a three-year sentence.
