There is no blessing between me and Governor Sule - AlMakura

Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, the former governor of Nasarawa State, has dispelled rumours that he and Governor Abdullahi Sule, his replacement, are at odds and in strife.

Al-Makura, a former senator who served the Nasarawa South Constituency in the Senate, used the analogy of a hare to describe the problem.

He claimed that those promoting the topic of poverty are only dishonest individuals looking to sow discord between him and his successor, Governor Sule.

On Wednesday, he paid a personal visit to Governor Sule at the Nasarawa Government House in Abuja and fixed the problem while speaking with press.

"Rumour is the fuel that fuels politics," he declared. If there aren't any rumours and chitchat, it means we're not playing political games.

There are some individuals who excel at muddle-making in politics and who are seeking entry into the ruling class.

The former governor asserted that he and the current governor are self-aware and conduct their politics in such a way that they will not allow those who seek to drive a wedge between them to succeed. He also stated that by cooperating, they will advance Nasarawa state's development.

Additionally, he lauded Governor Sule's management style and noted that the state had made progress on development initiatives during the present administration.
