Two more people from Kaduna state have died after going to Saudi Arabia to do the hajj.
Ibrahim Giwa, who works as an assistant to the Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, told our reporter in Makkah about the deaths.
Bashir Umar Sambo from Kubau Local Government and Sulaiman Abubakar (Unguwan Lalli) from Igabi Local Government Areas of the state were named as the travelers.
"The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency announces the deaths of Sulaiman Abubakar Unguwan Lalli, KD 086 TRK from Igabi LGA and Bashir Umar Sambo, KD 318 KB from Kubau LGA."
"This means that four people have died in Saudi Arabia so far. "We ask Allah to accept them as martyrs and let them go to Jannah," he said.
He did say, though, that plans have started to get travellers back home.
While praising the pilgrims on completing the Hajj, he told them to make the most of their money until they could finally go home.
Then, he said that the distribution of travelers' main luggage (32 kg) had begun and asked those who had lost things to go to the agency's Makkah office to get them back.
