I do not regret the destruction in Kano - Governor of Kano
Abba Kabir Yusuf, the governor of Kano State, stated that he had no regrets regarding the order he made to demolish some buildings in some areas of the state.
When the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, visited him at the government residence to greet him with the Eid prayer, Governor Yusuf let everyone know this.
"Your Highness, the kingdom benefits from knowing that we are making a lot of effort to restore the locations in the neighbourhood that have been illegally taken over by others. We shall see to it that all public properties are retrieved for the benefit of Kano State's residents.
"There is neither regret nor regret over the demolition of some buildings sold by the previous government of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje."
The governor requested the traditional leaders' assistance with the project he has proposed.
He expressed his gratitude to the Emir and the royal council for paying him the first visit of this nature since he took office as governor.
Additionally, Abba Yusuf listed some of his accomplishments during his 31 days as the state's governor.
Some of his accomplishments include paying the one billion naira and five points (N1.5b) in NECO exam fees for 55,000 secondary school students, restoring lights to road lines, and lowering the frequency of phone theft, confiscation, and theft in Kano.
