It is planned to return Nigerian pilgrims home after completing the 2023 Hajj

The Nigerian pilgrims will be returned to Nigeria starting on Tuesday, July 4th of this year.

Engineer Mohammad Goni Sanda, the director of the National Hajj Commission's (NAHCON) transportation affairs division, made this announcement in Makkah.

According to Sanda, they would have followed the same procedure as the people who were contacted first; they would be picked up during the pilgrims' transportation and return to Nigeria.

Engineer Goni stated that each pilgrim will only be able to determine the day of return home by adding or subtracting 3 days from the 40 days that have passed since his arrival in Saudi Arabia.

On the other hand, the National Hajj Commission NAHCON reported that thirteen Nigerians perished in Saudi Arabia while performing the Hajj in 2023.

This was said in Makkah last week following Arafah by Dr. Usman Galadima, the head of the NAHCON medical team.

If you recall, six pilgrims had passed away recently.

Seven pilgrims perished prior to Misha'ir, while six more perished during Misha'ir, according to Dr. Galadima.

Six pilgrims perished in five days as a result—four in Arafa and two in Mina.
