MasterCard Foundation Scholarship
Students who have applied to and been accepted into one of the following programs at the University of Pretoria are eligible for a full scholarship from the Mastercard Foundation:
1. Natural and Agricultural Sciences Faculty
2. Department of Economics and Management
3. Humanities Faculty for Admission to BPolSci (Only Political Studies or International Studies)
4. Engineering applications for honors and master's degrees will only be accepted from current students.
MasterCard Foundation Scholarship Selection Criteria
1. In addition to earlier academic success, selection will be based on how well applicants fit the program's culture, which emphasizes leadership and community development for Africa in addition to academic success.
2. Those who are chosen must be devoted to finishing their education as quickly as possible, going back to their home countries, and giving back to the communities there.

1. Go to the Application Portal on the MasterCard Foundation website first.
2. Applicants must submit a 250-word essay or motivational letter outlining their top choice of academic program, along with a copy of their most recent medical record.
3. Applicants should also provide a scan of their high school or university diploma, their transcripts from the past two academic years, and their curriculum vitae (in Europass format).

1. Our partner universities and non-governmental organizations carry out the Scholars Program. Each partner oversees the application procedure and decision-making on their own. You must submit an application through the university of your choosing if you want to be a Scholar.
