Niger's presidential palace shed light on the coup attempt

In a statement on the current level of anxiety over a potential coup attempt, the government palace of the Republic of Niger stated that there are in fact some soldiers defending the presidential palace who have engaged in illegal behaviour.

According to the statement, President Bazoum Mohamed and his family are currently healthy and the gang of troops who attempted this failed to win the backing of the soldiers guarding the presidential palace in Niger.

If individuals involved in the attempt to break the law from the past do not quickly repent, the Niger Army stated that it is prepared to strike to crush them all.

In response to what is thought to be a coup d'état threat, security services have taken action this morning on Wednesday to block the road leading to the residence of the President of the Republic of Niger, Bazoum Mohamed.

The Republic of Niger, which is located in western Africa, is one of the nations dealing with coup d'état issues. Since the nation's independence from France in 1960, there have been four coups d'états there and numerous attempts to enact additional ones.
