Parents have a role to play in ending France's protests - Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron has urged parents to assist in keeping their children under control while they participate in the nationwide rallies. Macron made the request in a speech following an emergency cabinet meeting on Friday.

Macron also attributed some of the blame for this conflict's escalation to social media.

According to President Emmanuel Marcon, the government must take measures to cancel various meetings in several cities across the nation in order to protect government structures and other public property due to the escalation of this incident.

President Macron also voiced his dissatisfaction with how social media fueled this confrontation.

At least 875 persons have already been detained by the police as a result of their involvement in this violence.
