Shell has been accused of trading gas with Russia after announcing its withdrawal from the country

An environmental organisation in Britain has accused Shell Oil of continuing to sell gas with Russia more than a year after declaring its exit from the nation.

Global Witness claimed that their study revealed how Shell helped Russia export gas by sea last year and that they are currently purchasing gas tanks in bulk.

An advisor to the Ukrainian president allegedly claimed that this company was providing Russia with war funds, and he requested that Shell utilise the money he received in this way to reconstruct Ukraine.

The Shell corporation countered that because their deal to buy oil from Russia was made in the past and cannot be broken now, it is an old contract.
