Terrorists attacked in Niger
The Tillabéri region in the southwest of the country, close to the border with Burkina Faso, was the scene of a terrorist attack, according to the Niger Armed Forces, which claimed the lives of a gendarme and four civilians.
According to a statement issued by the command, some terrorists ambushed a convoy of National Gendarmerie officers in the Torodi-Makalondi region. Five people, including a gendarme and four civilians, reportedly perished. 19 persons, including 7 gendarmes, 5 troops, and 7 civilians who had previously been sent to the hospital, sustained injuries. Two persons were murdered on the terrorists' side, and they also lost some weapons and two motorcycles.
