The Bauchi government has announced the removal of six royals in the state
Six chiefs and governors were fired, according to the Bauchi state government, because they were found to be engaged in politics and illegally encroaching on forest limits.
The declaration made by the acting chief secretary of the Local Government Administration, Nasiru Ibrahim, outlines the decision to deport the royal holders in the kingdoms of Bauchi and Katagum.
The statement lists the Chiefs of Udubo, Alhaji Aminu Muhammad Malami, and Azare, Alhaji Bashir Kabir Umar, as well as the Chiefs of Dagacin Gadiya, Umar Omar, and Dagacin Tarmasawa, Umar Bani, all of whom reside in the Katagum emirate, as being affected by the occurrence.
Then, in the emirate of Bauchi, there were Dagacin Beni Bello Suleman and Dagacin Badara, Alhaji Yusuf Aliyu Badara.
The agency was cited in the statement as having authorized the removal of the incumbents for engaging in party politics, acting improperly, illegally cutting down of trees, damaging public property, and disobeying orders, all of which are against the laws governing public service.
