The Federal Government University of Gusau has expelled 7 students and suspended 6 students

Six students have been placed on academic suspension and seven have been expelled from the Federal Government University in Gusau, Zamfara State, for violating the school's policies.

This was stated in a paper shared with the media in Gusau by the Umar Usman University's media officer.

He claims that the affected students were detained for a variety of offenses against the law and university regulations.

Umar Usman continued, "The investigation of the committee and the report they gave to confirm their crimes has given the University the confidence to punish them."

"Students have stolen, used abusive language on social media, and taken examinations, among other offenses.

Yakubu Audu and Mu'awiyya Bello, the university's registrar, suggested expelling the students.

Daniel Ibeh Mayowa from the department of Educational Foundation, Habibu Abdul from the department of Microbiology, Abdulsalam Abubakar from the department of Microbiology, Faruk Alayande Olamilekam from the department of Educational Foundation, and Iortim Philemon Vasue from the department of Political Science are among the expelled students.

James Joseph, manager of business administration, and Abubakar M. Lawal, department head for business administration, are the others.

The six students who will retake the two semesters of their courses include Khadija Abdulrahman Bala (Plant Science and Biotech), Idowu Ojo Oni (Educational Foundation), and Emmanuel Chibuzor Ejikeme (Science).

Sadiya Sani Garba, Balkisu Bello, and Ibrahim Mu'azu Lawal, all of whom are studying plant science and biotechnology, will also be repeating the same semester.

Umar claims that these offences are against the University Law, Section A, Item (xxv), Page 62; the Regulations for the Management of Student Standards, Item (iv), Page 68; and Part L, Items (i) - xxv, Pages 69-73 of the Student Guide.
