The Gambia has completed an investigation into the Indian drug that killed 70 children

According to the investigation's findings, which were made public by the Gambia's government, 70 children died last year as a result of four different types of medications imported from India.

Dr. Ahmadou Lamin Sametah, the minister of health for the Gambia, stated at a news conference that people who brought drugs into the nation did not comply with entry regulations, particularly because the drugs' types were not authorised by the West African Medicines Agency.

According to the studies, 70 youngsters who used Indian remedies developed kidney disease before passing away.

The minister claimed that because of their negligence in failing to recognise the drugs that caused the deaths of 70 children, the country's drug control agency officials and the group of officials who watched over drugs imported from abroad have already lost their morals.

Last year, the Indian drug trade claimed at least 300 children's lives in Indonesia, the Gambia, and Uzbekistan.
