The Israeli army attacked the West Bank of the Jordan River
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health and the Red Crescent, Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian and injured at least four others, including two who are in critical condition, in the city of Nablus on the west bank of the Jordan River.
According to Reuters, the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that a man was killed by gunfire on Thursday before daybreak, when Palestinian rebels claimed to be engaged in combat with Israeli soldiers and Nablus residents.
According to a statement from the Palestinian Red Crescent regarding the clashes with Israeli forces in eastern Nablus, a city in the northern West Bank of the Jordan River that has been the epicenter of the Palestinian struggle against Israel's occupation, at least four Palestinians were shot and two of them are in critical condition.
The armed branch of the al-Quds Brigades in Nablus, which has seen skirmishes between Palestinians and Israeli soldiers, claimed that its members are battling the occupation forces and the organizations that stormed the vicinity of Yusuf's grave.
After the Israeli army attacked the 41-kilometer-away Jenin refugee camp earlier this month, which resulted in the deaths of 12 Palestinians, about 100 injuries, extensive damage to civilian infrastructure, and the forced emigration of thousands of people, the Israeli army did not respond to a request for comment on the most recent killing of a Palestinian.
According to reports, one Israeli soldier perished in the assault on Jenin.
In a February offensive on Nablus that involved 150 soldiers and numerous armored vehicles, Israeli forces killed 11 Palestinians and injured over 80 others. This attack came less than a month after one identical to it that left 10 Palestinians dead in the Jenin refugee camp.
With more Israeli assaults and Palestinian street attacks over the past 15 months, the violence in the West Bank has gotten worse.
