The soldiers fired at the bandits, killing 22 in Katsina
22 bandits have been killed by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in the Katsina State local governments of Batsari and Jibiya.
The attack by the air forces of Operation Hadarin Daji on Monday resulted in the deaths of the terrorists under the command of the kidnapper, Abdulkareem Boss.
According to several individuals who spoke with PRNigeria, the NAF planes launched the series of attacks after getting a top-secret report that the terrorists were kidnapping people and attacking various villages in the state's Kankara local government.
A source claimed that "the secret report found that many terrorists who are hiding in the areas have planned to attack people on the road from Jibiya to Katsina."
According to the source, "It is difficult to get the information and the NAF forces went on a raid with the aim of confronting the forest bandits and they successfully killed many and destroyed their hideouts."
You may recall that on August 6, 2022, a NAF warplane bombed the bandits in the Ruga forest in Katsina, killing their leader, Alhaji Abdulkareem Lawal, also known as Kareem Boss, and a few of his men.
When contacted, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the Air Force's spokesman, confirmed the recent attack that they carried out on Monday but declined to provide further information.
