The UN praised Syria for opening the Bab al-Hawa crossing to allow humanitarian aid to enter

Damascus was taken aback when Syria announced the restoration of the main border crossing on Thursday, July 13, after previously reopening two border crossings following the country's earthquake in February. About 85% of the humanitarian aid will be transported during a six-month period. Around 2.7 million Syrians will be able to receive relief in the Idleb region overall.
