Throat disease has killed three children in Kaduna

Three children have died and seven have been hospitalised as a result of the Mashako sickness, which first appeared in Kaduna state's Makarfi local government.

Malam Aliyu Alassan, the Makarfi Local Government's Health Secretary, confirmed this in a conversation with him, according to the National News Agency NAN.

According to him, Tashar Na Kawu, a town in the Gubuchi constituency of the local government, was where the sickness was discovered.

Alassan stated that youngsters make up the majority of the disease's victims and that blood samples from them have already been sent to Abuja, the nation's capital, for testing to identify the illness.

Those who were thought to be contaminated were transferred to the hospital and placed in isolation so they could receive the right care, he said.

Following the onset of the illness' symptoms in a few Kafancan neighbourhoods, the State Ministry of Health has confirmed an epidemic of the sickness in various municipalities in the Jema'a local government region.

Senator Uba Sani, the governor of the state, directed the Ministry of Health to deploy a team of medical professionals right once to the town of Kafancan to conduct an investigation and take proper action against the disease outbreak.

In recent years, reports of several deaths from dysentery have been reported in some states of the nation.

Breathing issues, a high fever, a cough, sluggishness, a sore throat, and neck swelling are other symptoms.
