Wednesday is the 1st of Muharram

The first day of the new Islamic month of Muharram is Wednesday, according to the moon seeing committee of His Highness the Sultan Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar III.

The committee claimed that after failing to view the moon on Tuesday in a statement posted on its Twitter page.

This indicates that it is the 30th of Zul Hijjah today, Tuesday, July 18.
