Xi Talks With Algerian President

Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the president of Algeria, is in Beijing on an official visit, and he spoke with Xi Jinping, the president of China, this evening.

In order to strengthen cooperation within the framework of the forum for cooperation between China and Africa, speed up the implementation of the agreements made at the first summit between China and the Arab countries, and promote the establishment of a bright future for the citizens of the two nations and China and Africa united in the new era, Xi Jinping noted that China wants to work with Algeria.

Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for his part, expressed gratitude to China for its long-standing support of his nation and complimented China's role in fairly resolving disputes with Palestine and other parts of the region while also promoting peace and stability. He aims to deepen collaboration with China in the area and throughout the world to elevate ties between the two nations and between China and Africa to a new level that will benefit the peoples on both sides.

Following their discussion, the two leaders saw the signing of several agreements for cooperation in the areas of transportation, research, and technology, as well as agriculture.
