Zulum Appointed Fannami As Borno Chief of Staff
Malam Fannami will start serving as the state's chief of staff on July 17 thanks to the governor of Borno state, Babagana Umara Zulum.
Malam Bukar Tijani, the state government's secretary, made the announcement to the media on Thursday in Maiduguri.
According to the statement, Mallam Fannami was born on January 15, 1966, in Damasak, the administrative centre of the Mobbar Local Government in Borno State. He attended Damasak Primary School from 1971 to 1977 and the Government Technical Secondary School in Buni Yadi from 1977 to 1982.
He first studied law at the University of Maiduguri in 1982, received his first law degree in 1987, and then enrolled in the Nigerian Law School in Lagos in 1988.
He graduated from the Niger State Ministry of Justice in 1989 and began working there as a State Attorney II on January 29, 1990. On October 16, 2009, he was named the Ministry of Justice's secretary.
On August 27, 2010, he was then appointed secretary general.
Before being named the Interim Chief of Staff on October 21, 2023, he served in a number of government agencies throughout his time as Secretary General.
Attorney Mr. Fannami is a part of Kuru's prestigious Institute of Political Studies. He is married and has kids, according to the statement.
