ECOWAS will blame Russia if Wagner enters Niger
The West African Economic Organization (ECOWAS) said it will blame Russia if the Russian mercenary group Wagner enters the Republic of Niger.
Ecowas declared Wagner's entry into the Republic of Niger as a violation of human rights.
The High Commissioner of the Peacekeeping Commission, Ambassador Abdel-Fatau Musah, said this during an interview with Channels Television on Friday.
He went on to say, "Wagner is now in Mali, and the government of Mali says that this is an agreement with Russia.".
"Then we will judge them with their words, which show their actions in violation of human rights. The actions of the Wagner group can destroy our region. As long as Wagner's forces enter Niger, we will hold the responsibility on Russia
