How Maryam Shetty was shocked by the news of her name being removed from Tinubu's list of ministers
President Bola Tinubu replaced Maryam Shetty as minister with Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure from Kano state.
It is not clear why she was replaced from the list of names sent to the Senate on Wednesday, August 2.
Maryam Shetty, who was expected to be identified on Friday, was shocked when she was informed that she had been replaced by another name.
According to the document sent to the parliament on Friday, August 4, 2023 and received by LEADERSHIP, her name is the 12th from the list of ministers to be evaluated.
She arrived at the parliament building at around 10:40 am to check in. She was smiling and relaxed.
However, she made a fuss and left the parliament after the news of her replacement was revealed.
Tinubu told the Senate that she replaced Shetty with Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure, the former commissioner of higher education in Kano State during the administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
In the current situation, some Nigerians have criticized this move by President Tinubu.
The social media has taken heat on the matter, where some believe that Nigerian youths have not been treated fairly.
