The young Nigerian politician who was given the position of Minister by President Tinubu, Maryam Shetty, stated that it was fate that made the president accept the position he lost.
She stated this in a message she published on Facebook where she said that while some people consider this as a setback, but her faith as a Muslim made her relate.
"I consider it as God's decision, which I believe in that he gives power when he wants, his plan is always in front of us," she said.
Her message comes a day after Tinubu changed her name to Dr. Mariya Mairiga Mahmoud Bunkure.
Despite Tinubun's hasty change of name, Maryam thanked the president for choosing her in the first place.
"Despite this unexpected change, I am grateful to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for choosing me to hold this important position. The journey does not stop here; I see this as a good thing, the best is yet to come," she said.
"I want to assure my supporters that this is not the end, it is the beginning of a new chapter, I need all of us to continue to pray for our country and support our president at the same time he wants to bring progress to Nigeria," said Maryam Shetty.
Before President Tinubu changed the name to Maryam Shetty, there was a discussion on the issue of the minister's misappropriation on social media where some showed their support one hundred percent and others condemned the situation.
President Tinubun did not explain the reason why he withdrew her name from the Senate for consideration.
