Ivory Coast will send troops to Niger
The President of the Ivory Coast said that his country will send about 1,000 soldiers who will join the ranks of other military forces who will remain in the plan to deploy to Niger.
Alassane Ouattara was speaking after the ECOWAS emergency meeting in Abuja, where the organization ordered the provision of troops to be sent to Niger in an effort to restore work and governance.
He said the group wants the president of the country whose government was overthrown by the military, Mohammed Bazoum, to be returned to power.
Mr Outtara, said that soldiers from Nigeria, Benin and other countries will join the Ivory Coast to be part of this plan.
