Mali and Burkina Faso have sent warplanes to Niger - Niger Army
The countries of Mali and Burkina Faso have sent warplanes to Niger to show their support for the country's government forces that staged a coup in July.
A report by RTN television channel of the country's government on Friday said that the two countries have begun to fulfill the promise they took to help Niger defend itself from the attack that Ecowas is planning to attack it to restore civilian rule.
"Mali and Burkina Faso have begun to take measures to fulfill their commitment by sending planes to prevent any attack on Niger," the report said.
It was revealed that the planes were attacking the Super Tucano model.
On Friday, the security chiefs of the West African Economic Development Organization (ECOWAS) said they have set a date to attack Niger to return President Mohamed Bazoum to power.
However, they said that they will not say the date, and efforts will continue to resolve the situation through diplomacy.
