Well, we're back to that time of year. Time for the mike rowe WORKS Foundation to give out a million dollars in work ethic scholarships to help train the next crop of skilled workers. Now is your chance to get some. At mikeroweWORKS.org/scholarship, you can fill out an application right now.
People often ask me who can apply for a "work ethic" scholarship, so I've included a short movie that shows a few of the many people we've helped in the past. In short, we want people who are willing to work hard and want to learn a skill that needs hands-on training. All done. We're not looking for people who want to get a four-year degree (not that that's a bad thing). We only care about how ready you are to work and how much you want to learn a skill that people want. So far, we've helped 1,500 people like this, but as the film shows, we're just getting started.
