Ministers: 'Tinubu can fire anyone who fails'
The spokesperson of the president of Nigeria, Ajuri Ngelale said that President Bola Tinubu has spent months since his victory in the country's election to bring out the main policies of every sector of the country and he will not accept failure from any of his ministers.
Ngelale, Senior Adviser to the President on Media and Public Awareness, disclosed this in an interview with Channels Television on Monday.
He also emphasized that President Tinubu has established some special standards of performance.
He said, "The question now is to implement the law and the president has shown as he did when he was the governor of Lagos state, that he is not one who is afraid of firing anyone."
"He is not someone who is afraid to impose sanctions quickly to ensure that the results he wants are achieved."
Ngelale clarified that if the government fails, the blame will not fall on the ministers alone, instead, it will be attributed to President Bola Tinubu.
Ngelale also stated that from the time he was elected to his swearing-in on May 29, the president used the time to establish "a series of reform committees in all sectors."
