President Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe has won the country's election with a huge majority, although the opposition party has accused of rigging before the election results were released.

The results released by the Electoral Commission of Zimbabwe last Saturday night showed that Mnangagwa won 52 percent of the votes cast while his opponent Nelson Chamisa won 44 percent which shows that he did not get more supporters from the number of people who voted for him 5 years ago.

The results of the electoral commission showed that a total of 69 percent of the voters in Zimbabwe voted in the election, which President Mnangagwa described as an indication of how the country continues to embrace democracy.

Even 5 years ago, during the 2018 Zimbabwe elections, Mnangagwa won 50.8 percent of the votes while Chamisa won 44.3 percent.

In his speech of thanks that he delivered yesterday after announcing the results of the election, President Emmerson Mnangagwa vowed to continue working hard to get the country out of the many problems that surround it.
