President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stated that efforts to improve the education and welfare of Nigerians keep him awake.
The president said this in a speech he made to the citizens on television on Monday night.
"The effort to improve the education, health and welfare of Nigerians is what keeps me awake day and night."
In his televised address, the president explained some of the plans he will make to ease the pressure Nigerians are under as a result of the removal of fuel subsidies.
However, the National Labor Union (NLC), is planning to go on strike on Wednesday to reject the withdrawal of fuel subsidies.
However, President Tinubu asked the group to give him time to set things up and ease the pain of removing the oil subsidy.
